Alternative authentication methods


Windows sign-in using other authentication methods

  1. Turn on your Windows computer.
  2. Enter your AAM ID in the Windows sign-in screen.
  3. In the authentication pop-up window, the default authentication method is displayed based on the authentication policy.
  4. In the bottom of the pop-up window, click Choose another authentication method.
  5. All allowed authentication methods for the user are displayed.
  6. Click the authentication method you want to use.
  7. In the authentication pop-up window, the selected authentication method proceeds.
  8. Sign in based on the selected method.

Alternative authentication method list for Windows

  • OTP cards
  • FIDO 2.0 security keys
  • User password (Not recommended)

Linux sign-in using other authentication methods

  1. Turn on your Linux computer.
  2. Enter your AAM ID in the Linux sign-in screen.
  3. All allowed authentication methods for the user are displayed.
  4. Enter the shorcut key for the authentication method you want to use.
  5. The selected authentication method proceeds.
  6. Sign in based on the selected method.

  • User password (Not recommended)
